The Cyberathlete Professional League (CPL) pioneer in professional video gaming competitions, S2 Games, creators of the critically acclaimed online multiplayer Savage franchise, and OCT, a Hong Kong listed Chinese government, state owned conglomerate, today announced the approval of Heroes of Newerth™ (HoN) to make its official debut as part of the OCT Digital Storm Festival in Chengdu, China. October 6th and 7th. The upcoming release from S2 Games has also been granted the title of "Official Demonstration Game” of the CPL 2009 Community Gaming Event.
The 2009 CPL Community event is a grassroots tournament created to introduce competitive gaming to the masses, shining a spotlight on the next generation of professional video game sports stars and a new form of Digital Entertainment.

The CPL was the first Pro League in gamer world to organice events and challengers of FPS games.
